Learning support

One-to-one sessions delivered to the student at home to build academic skills, based on their own school curriculum and matched to their level and learning needs.

What it is

One-to-one sessions delivered to the student at home to develop academic skills such as reading, writing and arithmetic, based on the student's school curriculum and matched to their level and learning needs. We apply Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles — breaking skills into simple steps, gradual training, and positive reinforcement — to help the student understand the curriculum content and become more independent in completing schoolwork and homework.

Who it's for

This service suits students who need individual support with their learning, including:

  • Students who need to strengthen reading, writing or arithmetic skills
  • Students who need the curriculum content presented in a way that matches their level and learning needs
  • Families who want practical guidance to support their child's learning between sessions

How sessions work

Sessions follow Applied Behavior Analysis principles, in four steps:

A child's and a behavior technician's hands working through an arithmetic exercise with wooden counting blocks and a step-by-step worksheet with a star sticker.
  1. Level and curriculum

We get to know the student's school curriculum, current level and learning needs, and identify the academic skills to target.

  2. Sessions led by a behavior technician

A behavior technician with experience in academic curricula delivers the sessions in your child's home, at a pace we agree on together.

  3. Follow-up and family guidance

We track the student's progress regularly and guide the family on practical ways to support their learning between sessions.

  4. Supervision and review

The analyst reviews the data weekly — adding new goals, closing the ones achieved, and changing the approach when a particular goal isn't progressing.
